An unconscious recognition: we react unconsciously to unstable environments.
As concepts of "AFTERGLOW", I focused lighting effects to present a sense and a perception. This piece was created in silence to emboss with only body and space.
A "sense" is equal to adapting the environment, and it is also a process to obtain informations of outsides and insides of the body.
A "perception" is equal to editing and exploiting simple informations from a sense organ by past learning, knowledges and experiences.
Informations that Human being obtains are almost from sights.
A space and a presence are warped by losing sights and relying hearings or imaginations.
Audiences are unconsciously led to unreal world and traveling with adapting the situation.
And then, they come back here.

“How are we changed if we release our emotions or humanities that we don’t reveal or we can’t reveal?”
This piece “IN/VISIBLE AREA” was started to create with this question.
We are not able to see human sorrow or humor that leads a person by the nose, but they sure exist. Facts, which used to be invisible in the past, are revealed as the technology is developed.
It makes life-styles and environments changed, it affects human psychology, and it produces distortions of communication system.
Tastes of human emotions and considerations in the society.
This piece was created as an omnibus movie by requesting wide variety of humanities.
Is this real or fantasia?
This piece presents the taste of human that only present audiences are able to taste.

We sprinkle the madness and Eros.
It is eroding you like the ripples.
The title of "SAMON" means graphic on sands. At the bottom of the works of Ishii, he has concept of "Body of the modern society and the madness and eroticism in it." He created this piece to sound them beautifully like moire, and leave the images and shapes of sands to the hearts of audience. This piece is organized by 3 elements of energy splash which is from Street dance, 3rd dimension movement which is from contemporary dance, quality from the world of Butoh.

“Samon” by Norihito Ishii first captivated us by the dramatic shadow games on bare skins and later, opened up like sea shore lilies that bloom at night and spread their intense scent. Norihito, raised on street Hip-Hop, has singular perception of contemporary Butoh. The elusive games of light and shadow established some surreal power that reverberated from the exposed skin. A bit later, when the full body was seen, we realize that the hands and forearms, as well as the feet were dipped in black ink, which changed the proportion of the human figure and gave it an other-worldly quality.
But nothing prepared us for the dancer’s dramatic backward fall, who dropped loudly and as straight as log, a beautiful homage to Amagatsu, the Butoh’s luminary. It was an evening of rare pleasures.
